What is Krav Maga?
Krav Maga is the realistic self-defense system from Israel. At the Krav Maga School Zug you learn to hold your own against attacks, weapons and multiple opponents – physically and mentally.

On the street there are no weight classes and no referee who steps in when someone gets hurt. In our Krav Maga training in Zug we therefore always assume that the opponent is bigger and stronger – and often not alone.
The principles of Krav Maga at Krav Maga Zug
Krav Maga was developed in Israel with one goal: to end a threat as quickly and safely as possible. This leads to four simple principles that run through every session:
- Don't match strength with strength: you don't compete with the attacker's power but use technique, timing and movement.
- Speed decides: the faster you react, the less time the attacker has to carry out his plan.
- Vulnerable targets: Krav Maga focuses on areas of the body where even little force has a big effect.
- Defend and counter-attack at once: pure defense is not enough – you move from defending to acting as quickly as possible.
What you learn in Krav Maga training in Zug
You learn knee and elbow strikes, kicks and punches that work under stress. In addition, you practice defenses against attacks with sticks, knives and pistols as well as against multiple attackers. All techniques are trained in realistic drills and scenarios so you can use them when it counts.
Besides technique, you train fitness, reaction speed and mental strength. The ability to stay calm under pressure and make clear decisions is exactly what makes Krav Maga so effective.
Who is Krav Maga for?
Krav Maga is suitable for women and men aged 17 and over – no previous experience needed. Many of our members come from Zug, Baar, Cham, Steinhausen and Rotkreuz and train in small groups of 6 to 12 people.
